Welcome to our celebration! This event will be held on Saturday, January 14th, from 3 – 6 PM. Please complete this official entry form by January 6, 2023.
Rules & Guidelines
1. There is no entry fee for participating groups.
2. Participants must meet the registration deadline of January 6, 2023 to enter contest.
3. A waiver form for each participant must be completed and submitted at time of registration.
4. Teams must be comprised of a minimum of 3 team members.
5. Each performance is not to exceed 5 minutes.
6. Each group is responsible for providing its own music on a CD.
7. No vulgarity, obscenity, or explicit content is allowed.
8. Participants must be at least 5 but not older than 25 years old.
9. A group representative must attend the pre-event meeting in order to discuss the rules and procedures of the competition.
10. 1st place receives $250, 2nd place receives $150 & 3rd place receives $50
By submitting an application, you agree to the following waiver/release:
Waiver and Release: I/We have received a copy of the MLK Talent Show Participant rules and guidelines. I/We agree to comply with all policies, rules and regulations governing participation in the MLK Youth Extravaganza. I/We further agree my organization/individuals shall hold harmless and indemnify the Palmetto Youth Center and its board of directors, representatives, successors, agents and employees from any liabilities, injuries or damage of any kind including but not limited to attorney fees and other costs of responding to or defending claims or litigation which may occur from the organization's/individuals' participation in the annual parade.
